The T.T.Calshot Trust Co Ltd. The Tug Tender Calshot Trust was set up in 1997 with the prime aim of restoring CALSHOT to her 1930's profile. It is intended that she will eventually become part of the Port of Southampton's educational programme. There will be school visits and the ship will offer hands-on experience for the Sea Cadets Corps as well as serving as a base for other maritime organisations.

Thanks to our friends at Associated British Ports for providing us with berthing accomodation, enabling us to continue the vital restoration work.
The target date for completion is 29th November 2004, exactly 75 years since she was launched in Southampton.

There is still a large amount of work to be done and money for the restoration to be raised, but recently a 2 ton funnel extension was built to restore the ship's orignal appearance. (the original was shortened when diesel engines were fitted).

CALSHOT has now been recognised officially, being included in the National Register of Historic Vessels. She is now one of only 46 in their core list of pre-eminent historic vessels.
